While Norwich City were drawing 0-0 with Bolton Wanderers, Emily Deal found a new way to cheer up the Carrow Road stewards on a cold and bleak day on Saturday – giving out free chocolates.
Dad Craig said: “Emily wanted to give out chocolates to the stewards at the game today as a way to say thank you for all they do each week, standing out in all weathers. Sometimes they get a hard time from others so she hoped some chocolate would brighten up their day.
“It was so much fun! Their repose was one of surprise and smiles! One steward said “are you serious?” and another thought she was joking.
“It was fun seeing the stewards talking and smiling about the chocolates and Emily really enjoyed seeing one steward eat the chocolate during the game (let’s face it the game was pretty frustrating so hopefully the chocolate cheered him up!)
“It was also really cold so to see the stewards smiling and appreciated was a really fun thing to do!”
