Baking cakes for hairdressers, pupils and parents and giving chocolates to bin men are the latest acts of kindness from members of Gateway Vineyard church in Norwich as part of its 1000 Hours campaign.
Josie said: “We had so much fun this afternoon giving away cakes. People were amazed that we weren’t charging for them. It’s was great to be able to tell them that we just wanted to bless them as God loves them.”
Claire Gardner and some young members of the Girls’ Life Group baked some cookies to give to the staff and clients at a hairdressers next door to Vineyard’s The Place community centre in Thorpe St Andrew.
The running total is now up to 482 hours, almost half-way there.
