Young members of Gateway Vineyard Church have been working hard baking cookies and knitting snuggle triangles as part of the 1000 Hours of kindness campaign.
Charlotte Day, aged two, told mum Judy that she wanted to bake heart cookies for her friends. “We made them with the help of big brother Henry and then fished them out at church on Sunday,” said Judy. “Charlotte gave them to a variety of recipients and sunbeams did well! However she and Henry decided the biggest cookie was for pastor Craig and it went down a treat!”
Cathy said: “Emily just wanted to learn to knit and her mum Jo got in touch with me to see if I could teach her. The knit and natter group are making snuggle triangles to help mothers and tiny babies bond in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital. My hope is for this to be an incentive to learn to knit and use the hours of knitting to put towards the 1000 hours of kindness campaign.”
